One of the most relevant professional profiles in Polymer AM industry is the Operator, which is responsible
for operating machines.
As the market keeps growing more and more job opportunities will arise in the
Operators field, which will drastically require more VET providers to train skilled workers essential to the
AM value chain.
After an identification of needs, the main problem was the lack of skilled workers in the
field of Polymer AM Operators and the need for education to accompany the latest technological
developments
The development of a brand-new AM Polymer Operator harmonized curriculum, aligned with industry and constantly updated on a regular basis is foreseen by some AM educational and industrial experts as a priority in current times. This new curriculum will enlarge the training offer of EAGLE partners and the scope of qualifications of IAMQS.
EAGLE project will tackle the adversities identified with the development of this new curriculum and also englobe the development of train the trainer guidelines and tools to support AM Polymer Operator training activities.
